Establishing new Denver office is response to nonprofits desire
to better define their purpose, mission and goals

The strategic communications firm Marmillion + Company today launched a five-year expansion plan to meet the strategic communication needs of national associations, trade groups, advocacy organizations, nonprofits and membership organizations. The company created a new management position and is establishing an office in the Rocky Mountain region.

Chairman and Founder Valsin A. Marmillion, who started the boutique full-service communications and public affairs firm more than 20 years ago, said the current economic, political and social climate creates uncertainty that these groups want and need to address.

“Our firm is uniquely positioned to help organizations under pressure to meet increasing competition and demands in a challenging environment,” Marmillion said. “Our service is built on a blend of relevant research and imaginative skills that lead to innovative solutions. In response to meet this growing need, Marmillion announced his firm has established a presence in Denver. He currently has operations in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Fort Lauderdale.

Gene Rose, formerly communications director for the National Conference of State Legislatures in Denver, is now Executive Vice President of Marmillion + Company. He will work in Denver and be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the company and, working with Marmillion, execute the strategy to grow the company’s business.

Rose, a former journalist, said he will draw on his nearly 30 years of experience of communications in the public sector to identify services and products for new clients.
